While you can pretty much get the idea of it here, I’ll be posting the final images and info in a few hours…

Checking the transparency film over a partial print to make sure things are all there and positioned correctly.

The final burnt black-line screen.

Shiny shiny black enamel drying on the rack.

Blue edition racked.

This was one of several quick notebook sketches of the concept.
…and here are images/info for the final print!

Two weeks ago I took a trip down to the print shop to check in on a new print edition I’ve been working on. Here are a few shots of the work in progress, more photos and edition information tomorrow!

These guys are actually finely-tuned printing robots, there is no other explanation for their speed and accuracy.

Mmm…goopy. The last step in the printing process is laying down the black enamel linework, this is where the image all finally comes together.

Through test prints, screen clears and alignment checks the shop ends up with quite a few “unintentional collaborations” between artists. Some of these are really interesting.

This multi-tonne WWII era beast of a machine would not hesitate to cut your hand off, except that it fortunately requires two hands to operate.

Hmm what’s this? An alternate color for print club members? Shh, don’t tell them, they may not have opened their mail yet.
A few more selections from the Wild Sube family. Spoiler warning for #29 and #30 who may not have their prints in hand yet!

…the fun continues after the cut!
Now that most of the Wild Sube prints are all drawn and away, I thought I would share a roundup of a few while I play post-comic-con catch up! I drew 30 different faces, here are a few highlights, with a few more coming tomorrow.

…the fun continues after the cut!

Carrot Skeleton was the Print Club Plus print for May! It’s an edition of 45, 6″x8″ print on ultra smooth fine art cotton rag with decorative corners. A few lucky members will also randomly be getting a black chase print edition of 15! I’ll have a few of the regular ones at MoCCA Artfest this weekend in NYC! The remainders, if any, will go up online next week!

“Road Trip” was the Print Club+ print for April. It’s a 13″x19″ print featuring a photo of my recent custom Filth wagon / sculpture for Kidrobot. Signed and numbered edition of 50, about 15 left in the shop.

This was the runner-up image with a great Feed Store in the background. I felt the first one worked better as a print, but I thought I would share this one as well!

These lovely letterpressed prints arrived in the studio this weekend. They came out great! The print shown here is an 8″x8″ edition of 50 and will be available in May. The blue edition peeking from behind the corner is the Print Club+ members exclusive.

In other print news for those of you who missed out on Print Club+ membership, the additional 20 EAT! screenprints and a bunch of the King of Corn litho prints are now available at the deadzebra shop.

The first rule of Print Club is don’t talk about Print Club… unless you were on the newsletter mailing list yesterday, where I announced the new subscription club for prints. Unfortunately for everyone else (and a few slow responders) the 30 membership slots sold out very quickly!
In case you missed out on membership, many of the club release prints will also be available to non-members in the Dead Zebra shop! After the first 6 months I will consider expanding the club if all goes well!
Here is a peek at the first print that will be shipping in February, I’ll post again when it is available in the shop!
