The Moon Rooster, bawwk (06/24/09)
Bawwwk.. Here is a drawing of a rooster who crows at the moon. Silly Moon Rooster. I’m not sure if it’s done, but I am sure I won’t have time to work on it for a while! Here’s a detail view.

as per usual, great selection of colors. i also really love how the stream of colors somewhat mimics the contoured shape of the rooster. do you normally sketch these things out and scan them in? or do you work from scratch in illustrator?

And the moon… genius!
I am continually amazed at your ability to speak through your art. It’s more enjoyable than reading words, as we can add our own stories to flush out the details. Your simple thought “Silly Moon Rooster” touched a cord in me, gently condescending in a kind way to the poor old bird.
