Over the last 3 years the Vader Project, a collection of customized 1:1 scale replica Darth Vader helmets, has traveled the globe including stops in Pittsburgh, LA and Tokyo. The unique helmets are now going up on the auction block for collectors and fans! The auction is on July 10th, and then check out the events on June 11th and 12th in LA where you can view the works one last time and meet a bunch of the artists at the catalog signing!

Speaking of catalogs, a beautifully photographed catalog of the show is now available for pre-order from the Vader Project site.

P.S. I finally added my entry, Darthodontics, into the artwork catalog.

the birds have landed

After UPS decided to play rugby with the first set, a fresh batch of the screamin’ bird screen prints for the Poster Cause Project finally came in for me to sign/number.

I took a few angle shots to show off the background cage detail.

All profits from the sale of the print go to Action Against Hunger. They are set at $60, but for the next few hours you can get 40% off with code “LAUNCHED”.. even though that will lower the money going to charity.. just saying.

Ann Arbor Skatepark Benefit

Ann Arbor Skatepark fundraiser deck

I did a quick “chalkboard” style skate deck for the Ann Arbor Skatepark fundraiser event coming up this weekend! White charcoal on a dark gesso base (sealed to prevent smudging!) And with that I think I’ve met my charitable contributions limit for the year!

The Art Show will be aimed at raising funds for (and the awareness of) the Ann Arbor Skatepark Action Committee, and the construction of a free, public Skatepark, Art Space & Eco-Environment in Ann Arbor.

All of the art in the show will be displayed at Vault of Midnight for two weeks after the show.

Massive search engine upgrade!

This was planned and in the works for a while, but it is finally upon us, we have added tags to over 1,800 creature drawings! We’ve also improved the search results page to display full posts for most categories, this might take a little longer to load but you will be able to find what you want a lot easier.

Most older creature tags are somewhat generic, you can search for things like “fat“, “blood“, “sitting“, “melting“, etc. For example, here is a search for “baby”. Want to search for a specific date? Just enter it in MMDDYY format.

There is a search box on the lefthand side of most pages, go nuts!
